We understand that moving home can be very stressful, so we try and help by bringing the local travel information direct to residents  We do this in a number of ways: regular surveys- which enable us to understand individual travel needs and how we can tailor to you, newsletters- which keep residents updated on local offers, information and special events and resident meet ups which work hand in hand to gain established relationships with the residents themselves. 

Here at PBA the TP team are hard at work making sure residents (at all stages of occupancy) are aware of local sustainable travel options and the three gifts available to them:

We have gained an established relationship with local cycle store Eaststreet cycles, which has in turn brought residents an added 10% off purchases to give them an even better deal.

04.10.13 - A Busy Day For The Travel Planning Team in Surrey

AM: The day started bright and early with a visit to County Hall Kingston to meet Surrey's Travel Plan Officer Lynn Howard. Lynn was very pleased with the progress of the Travel Planning Team in the coordination of Viva Stanwell's Travel Plan.

PM: The afternoon followed with lots of door knocking around the Viva Stanwell site with a special guest... James Creed from Liftshare. Our aim was to encourage the uptake of Liftshares Personalised Journey Planning- MyPTP. There were many residents who were very keen on this initiative so filled out one of the Travel Surveys to not only receive information on alternative journey plans but to also receive one of three FREE GIFTS....

It was great talking to many enthusiastic residents about the Travel Plan and reminding them of the exciting Travel Event at 16:30 at the Community Centre, Mulberry Avenue that same afternoon.

The Travel Event lasted for two hours and saw several local faces who had queries regarding local travel and the travel gift options. The Travel Plan Coordinators had organised an event with free cycle bibs, travel information, refreshments including doughnuts and a bike doctor from East St Cycles as well as plenty of Travel Surveys to fill out and games to play.... 

The residents which turned up seemed to have a great time and got lots out of it. A particular resident, Sharron Moloney said:

"The Travel Plan work is a great idea as it gets lots of people involved and spreads the word about what travel provisions are available within the local area."

07.10.13 - Travel Gift Update

Please be advised that at present the £200 off rail travel is not available, we apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. We can however provide residents with an alternative gift option of 50 personalised journey planning credits. With each credit you will receive an informative email which describes various journey routes for a particular journey you make, eg. from your home to work. Not only does it give you a detailed journey plan but it also provides you with the Liftshare database flagging up anyone who makes a similar journey to you.

Viva Stanwell residents will soon be receiving their Winter Newsletter through the post! Please note, if you haven't claimed your gift option yet and would like to do so before Christmas then please complete your Travel Survey and return it back to us by the 16th of December.
